Eager for leisure
It was a Friday afternoon,as i rushed out of the house and towards the campus.,Suddenly i heard a voice crying with great excitement. "Come here. come quickly. Look, How beautuful the flowers are!" Oh. i realized that girl was crying to her friends. When i looked back. i could see the roses blooming brightly in the shining sunlight. They looked so nice. How i wish i could stop and come over to them to smell for a few seconds for its aroma and share its sweetness. But i couldn't stop, or i would be late . Sign. i had to pass by like a gust of wind, pretending not having seen them.
How i wish i could be free at that time. How i wish i could have the leisure time to enjoy myselfe at that time. I felt a bit upset and that reminded me of the poem "Leisure" written by William. Henry. Davis.
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare,
No time to stand beneath the boughs,
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see the woods we pass,
Where squirrels hid their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Stream full of stars like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
A poor life this, if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
I am eager for the leisure time to enjoy myself as often as possible.
It seems that we people in the modern time, have to deal with our work and life in a hurry , no time to stop to taste the life and appreciate and enjoy the nature.
As a matter of fact, it is not a good idea to be that free, as being too idle and loaf or goof will help u to accomplish nothing. But Being too busy is also a no-good thing, as u may feel fulfilled but u may miss something. As i always think for those beautiful things, u really need a relaxed mood and feeling to enjoy it. In a word, Life is not only for accomplish or achieve something, but also need to enjoy and appreciate something.
